On January 3, 2024, MEMX published Regulatory Notice 24-01: Mandatory Participation in Regulation SCI Disaster Recovery Testing. In coordination with other market centers as part of SIFMA BCP testing, and in support of Regulation System Compliance and Integrity requirements, MEMX will host a test of its secondary/disaster recovery facilities on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The scope for this weekend test will be a full feature test of all exchange functionality to ensure that MEMX is able to quickly relocate data center operations to Chicago, IL. MEMX will also participate in pre-testing on Saturday, September 14, 2024, and Saturday, September 21, 2024. The scope of the pre-tests will focus on connectivity to the secondary data center.
MEMX 2024 Disaster Recovery Test Script
- Designated members were notified by the Exchange on April 4, 2024
- Designated members are required to verify connectivity to MEMX backup systems in Chicago no later than August 30, 2024
- On test day each designated Firm for MEMX Equities will be required to:
- Connect to the MEMX backup systems in Chicago
- Execute at least one (1) trade in Tape A, B and C
- Confirm receipt of drop copy and market data, if so configured
- On test day each designated Firm for MEMX Options will be required to:
- Connect to the MEMX backup systems in Chicago
- Submit and execute at least one order
- Confirm receipt of drop copy and market data, if so configured
All members are encouraged to voluntarily participate in testing with MEMX.
