MEMX Options MEMO SBE, FIX, and FIX Drop specifications version 1.8 are now available for download in the upcoming version link here. Version 1.8 is now in MEMX Options Development Environment (MODE). This is an optional release.
Important Dates:
- Monday, August 26: Version 1.8 available in production.
- Effective for trading on Monday, March 3: MEMO SBE, FIX, and FIX Drop Copy versions 1.6 and earlier will be deprecated.
Version 1.8 Details:
- Firms may now upload a file in the client portal to assign an approved OCC Clearing number by underlying, overriding the EFID default clearing number. This OCC Clearing number will be populated on every Trade message for MEMO SBE, FIX, and FIX Drop in a new value 4 (Clearing Firm) within PartyRoleType FIX Tag 452.
- Value 4 (Clearing Firm) will provide the clearing number the trade will clear at the OCC and resolve in the following order:
- Value 14 (GiveUp Clearing Number) specified on order entry message
- OCC clearing number assigned via file upload to override default
- EFID default OCC clearing number
- Order entry messages are not impacted.
- Added MarketOrdersNotAllowed and UnderlierOnRestrictedList enums to OrderRejectReasonCode.
- Value 18 (Contra GiveUp) has been renamed ‘Contra Clearing Firm’. Contra Clearing Firm will be on every Trade message. Prior versions populate Contra Clearing Firm only when a giveup is provided upon order entry.

Firms may update upgrade their sessions via the User Portal or submit a ticket request to upgrade their session to test in MODE.
